Approaching a counsellor can be daunting, so I’ll do everything I can to make the first step as easy as possible.

If this goes well, we’ll arrange a time to get together for a free, no obligation, hour-long assessment session.
During the assessment session we’ll:
take a quick look at your past and also what's happening in your life at the moment
discuss what you'd like to acheive in therapy
check if I'm the right therapist for you. If we agree that we're a good match, we'll discuss how often we'll meet, fees, cancelation policy, confidentiality and boundaries... however, what I usually recommend is to go home and sleep on it before deciding. Therapy works best when you feel comfortable with the person you're working with.
If for any reason we decide I'm not the right therapist for you, I'll happily suggest other people or agencies that you can approach.
