Getting started...

Approaching a counsellor can feel daunting, so I’ll do everything I can to make the first step as easy as possible.

The best way to get started is simply to contact me by email or phone so we can have a brief chat about what you’re looking for from counselling at this time.  If you'd like to take things forward, we can arrange a time to get together for an assessment session.

During the assessment session we’ll:

  • take a quick look at your past and also what's happening in your life at the moment 

  • discuss what you'd like to acheive in therapy

  • check if I'm the right therapist for you.  If we agree we could work well together, we'll discuss how often we'll meet, fees, cancelation policy, confidentiality and boundaries.
